Description

So for one of my daily warm ups, I decided to design :iconblackshirtboy:'s devil form.

Lots of Lovecraft and Sea Monsters went into this.

Quite a nightmarish fiend of the sea. I love the texture on the tentacles, It gives off a real detailed impression for the way the skin would feel id snagged by the Hungry Siren for a snack.
The hair the siren has kinda reminds me of Ryoko's from the Tenchi anime series. I wonder if it was inspired from the space pirate.
I love the mask, but it looks a little off. The mid point doesn't meet where the center of the lips are. Your shading shows this mistake as well.
The jewels below the vertical maw of the siren is shaded well, as well as highlighted just right. The large krakenesque eyes are much the same, but with being on the side of the body, the light point could be a little bit of an higher angle.
The line art is rough, a bit too rough. For your next project, I recommend cleaning the lines a bit more to give off a smoother look. This is a sea monster, after all. There are various other bits that are not so right, like the flat line of the tentacle on the bottom left. Other than that, the rest looks okay.
I love the imagination behind the piece. Lovecraftian monster meets a Cecelia in a wicked way.
