Description
This is my revision on the original artwork for Rhys the Redeemed of Magic the Gathering.
He is the general of my EDH and honestly a fantastic character who spawns more and more elves and tokens
He's been really good to me and my games.
My friend is able to make a foil proxy card with rel backing so it'll look all legit
Rhys the Redeemed (c) Wizards of the Coast
EDIT: Okay, fixed up some textures

Like I said before man, you have either been holding back on us or gone through some sort of training. I know you said you're trying out a different style but the results are really dramatic.
The line work is a little shaky and flat but that's mostly only noticed on closer looks. What really catches the eye the over all tone of the drawing. I love how the entire picture is a subtle and effective gradient, even the line art. Every color seems to just go together and nothing is out of place that shouldn't be, meaning all the attention is grabbed at all the right places.
My personal favorite part is the head/moon area. This is the obvious choice since it's the focus point of the entire scene. The two spirits to his side are eye candy but don't overshadow the main character of the picture which is awesome.
The only thing I would add would be darker shadows at the middle of his body but a shocking, dramatically awesome drawing man. We may have to hold you to this standard from now on, though I'm sure this was time consuming. Again, this was some of your best!
