"Nonsense," Winifred, the young vampire, reassured her dear friend, "a Niren is positively harmless!" She laughed as she gently patted her witch companion's head. 

"Right, so you've been saying, but I just don't know if I trust your source," she peeked over her shoulder once more.

"Listen, like I've said, everything will be fine. My brilliant plan is utterly foolproof!" Winifred raised her fist in triumph but one look at her magical minion quickly sucked the wind from her sails, "I'm sensing some doubt," she raised an eyebrow.

"Look, it's not that I don't believe in the plan, I'm just in need of a little reminder as to exactly how this will be working," Angela smiled weakly, "You know, to Ease any doubts," She had to play up her ignorance so she could distract Winifred long enough for her sabotage to take effect.

"Oh dear sweet Angela, I'm so sorry," Winifred cooed, "how insensitive for me to assume you could understand all the dense biological elements to the creatures of Underborough. I keep forgetting you aren't a locally blood or birth," she spoke matronly, once more patting Angela's head, much to the witch's hidden annoyance. ",Well my dear, what we have in the next room is a new Niren. They are a mix of what you would know to be a siren and a Nymph. They're known for their enchanting singing voices that can ensnare the hearts of all who hear it. However, with a little bit of tweaking, one can easily alter the song to change the effect. For instance, if a certain lovely vampire countess were to place headphones on the creature and had her listen to tracks about submission and loyalty, I, erm, she could enthrall anyone listening to the song and make them her new servant. And if she enhanced the volume enough, everyone in earshot would join her worthy cause of taking over the human world !" She laughed maniacally before pausing to regain her composure, " of course that sort of effect would require a very specially chosen track that had every note in the correct place, otherwise the effect could become perverted and become something else completely," Winifred smiled, "though we don't need to worry about that, as always my planning was perfection. And of course I was sure to add in a few necessary notes to avoid us getting affected by it as well," she laughed.

Angela nodded, checking over her shoulder again. She had already heard the speech before and she really didn't care about the nitty gritty details. She understood the songs Winifred picked would pose an immediate threat to her poor town. She held back a smile as she felt the original disk in her pocket. She had raided her own collection and made the switch before Winifred could be the wiser. Instead of propaganda, the Niren was listening to a mix of rap and hip hop.
